BSC 2021 NFL MOCK DRAFT (Top 10 + BONUS BILLS SELECTION)

(this Mock Draft was done by 1 of 2 owners, check recent tweets for other mock)

The top 10 picks of the 2021 NFL draft could very well be the most offensive heavy top 10 of all time. With a guarantee of at least 3 QBs taken in the top 5 and the guarantee that Penei Sewell, Ja’Marr Chase and Kyle Pitts will all be selected in the top 10, the reach for offensive talent could come early and often in the 2021 NFL Draft. For that reason this mock top 10 may be bold but, it certainly isn’t out of the realm.

1 - Jacksonville Jaguars - Trevor Lawrence QB Clemson,

An explanation isn’t needed for this pick. TL is the most talented player coming out of college in a long time. He has all the skills and tools to turn things around for Jacksonville.

2 - New York Jets - Zach Wilson QB BYU,

Although there have been a lot of questions and uncertainties about Zach Wilson, I think he will be an NFL stud. His ability to make any throw, escape the pocket and arm strength gives him the ability to be a good NFL QB. His awareness may not be there 100% yet, but that will grow with time.

3 - San Francisco 49ers - Trey Lance QB NDSU,

For Bills fans, the closest comparison to this pick is the Bills picking Josh Allen. Trey Lance is a very raw prospect with all the ability in the world. He only played one full season but the traits are there for him to be a top 5 pick. Although Mac Jones is the consensus pick for the 9ers at 3, I think John Lynch eventually wins out over Kyle Shanahan and picks Trey Lance. Regardless, San Fran is picking a QB at 3.

4 - Atlanta Falcons - Kyle Pitts TE Florida,

With Julio Jones on the decline and the desire for a new and improved 1/2 punch, the Falcons will get the best TE prospect in a long time. Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts would be great assets for the last couple years of Matt Ryan. Some may think that Atlanta takes a QB but I think Pitts is too good to pass up on.

5 Cincinnati Bengals - Penei Sewell OT Oregon,

For the Bengals the choice is between the best O Lineman in the draft or the best WR in the draft. I think they choose the best OL because of Joe Burrow’s current condition. Last year he was practically running for his life. Eventually the piss poor offensive line play got to him and Joe Burrow tore everything in his knee. The Bengals have 2 solid WR already with Boyd and Higgins….. It’s time to protect the franchise now.m

6 - Miami Dolphins - Ja’Marr Chase WR LSU,

Far and aways the best WR in the NFL Draft falls to Miami at 6. Miami is either picking Chase or Pitts……. Maybe Waddle, anyway a weapon to pair with D Parker. In reality you can’t see if Tua is good or not until you surround him with weaponry. The same thing happened with Josh Allen….. He was not who he is now until he got weapons. Chase would be a huge get for Miami.

7 - Chicago Bears ( via Trade with Detroit Lions ) Justin Fields QB Ohio State,

The Bears have gotten a lot of criticism for the handling of their QB situation. With AD14 on a 1 year deal, they are still looking for their franchise QB. I think the Bears send an absolute haul to Detroit in an opportunity to get their guy in Justin Fields. Justin Fields is a great player and could be an absolute game changer for the Chicago Bears. I think the Pats also try and get this pick but the Bears spend more and maybe even send a starter.

8 - Carolina Panthers - Rashawn Slater G Northwestern,

There’s a lot of thought that Carolina would take a chance on a QB here but I think they end up rolling with Sam Darnold for a little bit and trying to make that work. I think they go best lineman available here and start to build up for a successful set up for QBs to come. If this doesn’t happen, Carolina may go after a Waddle or Smith.

9 - Denver Broncos - Mac Jones QB Alabama,

If Mac Jones falls all the way to Denver I find it hard to believe that John Elway and co will not pull the trigger on a good QB--- especially with the uncertainty and the lack of consistency with Drew Lock.

10 - Dallas Cowboys - Micah Parsons LB Penn State,

With the Cowboys lackluster defense and inconsistency at LB I think they grab the absolute freak athlete and player in Micah Parsons. Before the season Micah Parsons was penciled in as a top 5 pick…… so this would be an absolute steal for the Cowboys.

BONUS SELECTION

30 - Buffalo Bills - Azeez Ojulari - Edge

The Bills are in reality very solid on defense besides the outside DL. Ojulari is a guy that the Bills could possibly trade up for (there are rumors about Bills trading up). I think it’s either Edge or CB and honestly comes down to BPA. I think the Bills can get a solid CB in round 2/3 --- for sure a need. The Bills need help on the EDGE, with Jerry getting old and Epenesa possibly not being who we thought he would be, we need a stud on the Edge.
