Well we've made it this far, the AFC Championship game is today! Whats next? Hopefully on to the Super Bowl! Super Bowl? That got me thinking who's hungrier for this SB win? Which generation of Bills fans want it more? Is there a difference?
The long time Buffalo Bills fans like myself who tasted the success of those great 90's teams that went to 4 straight Super Bowls? Were we left starving after having never having the Lombardi trophy home?
How about the next generation of fans, who only knew and survived the drought and never experienced our previous successes? I'm sure everyone has their own opinions on this but me being the old timer I am. I believe it is the older generation that knew the greatness but felt that stinging pain of wide right (that still pains me to hear).
In my day job I work with many younger generation fans, and honestly they all to me, seen grateful for just how far we've gotten. What ever is next they're satisfied because to them this as far as the Bills have reached in their lifetime. However myself and other "old timers" we are starving. We are obviously happy and excited to be playing in the AFC championship game today but dang it we want that Lombardi trophy! We've waited 25 years for another shot at this, and we're not ready to let go of that chance.
Whichever it maybe i can tell you one thing, I believe all Bills fans will get the sweet taste of Championship soon whether they know how bad they want it or not. Paul Urban @PaulUrb39125181
