Happy Opening Day!
With a full 162 game slate ready to roll with fans back in the ballpark it should be an excellent season.
I wish for a great year of Mets wins and Yankees losses.
To be honest though the Yankees are the little brother in town right? Or at least the tides are turning? Got to love the Yankee fans living off of their early century glory while having nothing to show for their success in the last 10 years besides a couple of AL championship series losses. I mean yeah the Yankees will be a great team and probably win the division but it’s the same routine every year. Star players banged up all year, play in a cake walk American league and have mediocre at best pitching. I don’t even think half of the people that claim they are Yankee fans can name the starting rotation. They have some nice players with DJ, Gleyber and Cole but everyone else is a walking piece of glass. I hope Stanton and Judge stay healthy for the sake of the league because I will admit, they are fun to watch! The tides have turned in NY with Stevie Cohen dragging his nuts all over the Yankees with his 16 billion dollars. I usually don’t hate the Yankees as much as this but it’s the Mets time. It’s telling that the Mets just handed out the 2nd largest contract in MLB history. It was the 1st time ever that the Mets have handed out a contract worth over $200 million.
